DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) — Nexentis Technologies (NASDAQ:NXTS) is giving its MitoCareX Bio subsidiary a more powerful digital backbone as the company pushes deeper into computational drug discovery.

MitoCareX deployed its Computational Drug Discovery Infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (NASDAQ:GOOG), a move designed to expand computing capacity while improving data governance, access controls and operational flexibility. In other words, Nexentis is not merely adding cloud storage; it is building infrastructure intended to support a discovery operation that is becoming increasingly computational.

“Transitioning MitoCareX’s computational platform to a GCP-based environment represents an important step in strengthening the operating foundation for the next phase of MitoCareX’s development,” Nexentis CEO David Palach said.

Earlier this year, MitoCareX reported its first drug-discovery milestone under Nexentis ownership, generating an optimized hit molecule with substantially improved pharmaceutical properties. The company says its MITOLINE platform helped create reliable 3D models of mitochondrial SLC25 carrier proteins, enabling virtual screening against a target class historically difficult to drug.

Then came an AI escalation. In June, MitoCareX announced an initiative with Boltz to combine MITOLINE’s structural capabilities with Boltz’s biomolecular AI models for virtual screening of selected solute carrier targets. Palach described the goal as identifying differentiated starting points more efficiently.

By September, Nexentis was adding computational-chemistry expertise to the equation, announcing that Prof. Dan T. Major had joined MitoCareX’s Scientific Advisory Board to advise on computational chemistry and in-silico drug-discovery approaches.
