Denver, Colorado (www.247marketnews.com) – Five companies, six developing stories, including Totaligent (OTCID:TGNT), Fermi America (NASDAQ:FRMI), Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD), Alaunos Therapeutics (NASDAQ:TCRT), BIO-key International (NASDAQ:BKYI), and Bumble (NASDAQ:BMBL).

Fermi America and AMD: AI Power Race Gets Texas Battleground

Fermi America’s (NASDAQ:FRMI) Project Matador is targeting one of the biggest constraints on artificial intelligence expansion: reliable, large-scale electricity. The company announced a credit-support agreement with Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ:AMD) connected to a 222-megawatt first phase of its Texas Panhandle project, alongside a framework for potential expansion to as much as 650 MW. The announcement adds a major semiconductor-industry name to Fermi’s infrastructure ambitions.

The commercial backdrop is substantial. Fermi previously announced a binding lease with AI cloud provider TensorWave for the initial 222-MW phase, with phased delivery expected to begin in the second half of 2027. The company reported approximately $6.5 billion in projected contracted revenue over the initial 15-year lease term.

AMD’s interest reflects the growing interdependence between AI chips and the infrastructure required to operate them. “The pace of AI innovation is driving unprecedented demand for compute and the large-scale data center infrastructure needed to support it,” said Mathew Hein, AMD’s senior vice president and chief strategy officer of corporate development. For AMD, more infrastructure capacity could help customers deploy computing systems at scale; for Fermi, the partnership could strengthen the commercial case for building a power-intensive campus.

Fermi’s longer-term ambition is to scale Project Matador toward approximately 17 gigawatts, integrating proposed natural-gas generation, nuclear power, utility-grid electricity, solar and battery storage.

Totaligent: Healthcare Joint Venture Meets Live-Platform Test

Totaligent (OTCID:TGNT) is pursuing two distinct growth opportunities: healthcare commercialization in Asia and a unified communications platform designed for real-world marketing campaigns. Its healthcare initiative centers on a 50/50 joint venture between wholly owned subsidiary Aetherium Medical LLC and Japan-based GloMed Solutions LLC. The venture aims to commercialize advanced biologics and medical devices across Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region through medical tourism and specialty-clinic distribution channels.

The proposed combination brings together Aetherium’s intellectual property and regulatory infrastructure with GloMed’s distribution network and relationships with more than 20 key opinion leaders and specialty clinics. The Company has also referenced approximately $10 million in GloMed revenue and roughly $1 million in earnings.

Totaligent is also executing Phase I of its invitation-only Founders Pilot, with marketers and political organizations running live campaigns through its communications platform. CEO Ted DeFeudis put the distinction between a demo and deployment bluntly: “Software that only works in a demo is still a demo.” The pilot is intended to test the full commercial workflow, including audience creation, email and SMS distribution, advertising, onboarding, billing, attribution, and support.

Paragon Labs, Alaunos Therapeutics and Velaris Therapeutics: Biotech’s Company-Building Machine Expands

Paragon Labs is expanding its leadership team with former senior executives from Apogee Therapeutics, whose acquisition by AbbVie was valued at approximately $10.9 billion. The recruits include Michael Henderson, M.D., as CEO; Carl Dambkowski, M.D., as head of research and development; and executives responsible for business, finance, legal affairs and people operations. Their experience advancing Paragon-discovered drug candidates into clinical development could strengthen the company’s effort to turn early-stage discoveries into clinical programs and new biotechnology businesses.

Henderson described the opportunity as a chance to apply development lessons earlier in the process. The strategy is built around combining Paragon’s biologics discovery capabilities with experienced leadership teams that can guide selected candidates through development, regulatory planning and company formation.

The expansion coincides with Alaunos Therapeutics’ (NASDAQ:TCRT) acquisition of Velaris Therapeutics, a privately held biotech focused on pulmonary arterial hypertension and related cardiopulmonary diseases. Velaris is the ninth company launched around Paragon-discovered assets. Its pipeline includes three ActRII-Fc ligand traps, VLR199, VLR247 and VLR258, and VLR360, an antibody targeting PDGF-B.

The $10.9 billion Apogee transaction provides a striking example of the value that can emerge when drug discovery, clinical development and pharmaceutical acquisition align. It does not, however, establish the value of Velaris or guarantee comparable outcomes for other Paragon-backed businesses.

BIO-key International: Another Middle East Government Security Win

BIO-key International (NASDAQ:BKYI) announced a new government security agency customer in the Middle East, adding another deployment to its identity and access management business. The agency selected BIO-key’s multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) platform to protect access to core communications infrastructure and web-based services. The customer’s identity has not been disclosed.

The company says the engagement progressed from initial discussions to an agreement in less than two months. Regional distribution partner IT Harmony supported the process, helping coordinate the evaluation and deployment. The announcement adds to BIO-key’s reported relationships with government and financial-sector organizations across the region, including major defense organizations.

The product proposition addresses a real cybersecurity challenge. Stolen credentials and compromised passwords can expose sensitive systems, while MFA adds verification steps and SSO can simplify access to authorized applications. Neither technology eliminates cyber risk, but both can form part of a layered security strategy for sensitive government environments.

BIO-key’s international growth strategy could benefit from government digitization and heightened security requirements.

Bumble: $1.3 Billion Take-Private Deal Reshapes Dating-App Story

Bumble (NASDAQ:BMBL) agreed to a take-private acquisition by Ithaca Holdings in a transaction reported at approximately $1.3 billion. The announced offer of $6.05 per share represents a substantial premium to the stock’s recent unaffected trading price, though the exact premium depends on the reference date used. The deal marks a dramatic change in fortunes for a company that debuted on the public markets in 2021 with a valuation of roughly $14 billion.

Founded in 2014 by Whitney Wolfe Herd, Bumble built its identity around a women-first approach to online dating. But the company has faced slowing engagement, declining paying-user numbers and pressure to refresh an increasingly competitive product category. Reuters reported that paying users fell 16.4% year over year to approximately 3.2 million, highlighting the business challenges confronting the platform.
