DENVER, Colo. (247MarketNews.com) — Today’s potential Squeeze List highlights ten stocks trading below $10: The Children’s Place (NASDAQ:PLCE), Cable One (NYSE:CABO), America’s Car-Mart (NASDAQ:CRMT), Vivid Seats (NASDAQ:SEAT), Lands’ End (NASDAQ:LE), Lakeland Industries (NASDAQ:LAKE), Lifetime Brands (NASDAQ:LCUT), NeOnc Technologies Holdings (NASDAQ:NTHI), Trio-Tech International (NYSEAMERICAN:TRT) and Skillsoft (NYSE:SKIL). The list comes as oil prices retreat ahead of the November 3 U.S. midterm elections, potentially creating an opening for improved market sentiment as election results begin to clarify the political outlook.¹ ²

* Float reconciliation remains incomplete for PLCE, CABO and SEAT. Their displayed figures are vendor estimates, and changes in ownership or available shares could alter the percentages.

† NTHI uses a provisional 6.7 million-share working float. Its reported 876,682 shares short as of October 15 imply approximately 13.08%.⁴ The working float and current ATM inactivity have not been independently confirmed.

Long-Term Positioning Can Become a Short-Term Trading Event

The Long-Term Squeeze List focuses on outstanding short positions relative to available shares. Tracking actual shares short across reporting periods helps distinguish an accumulating position from a percentage inflated by an outdated float.

Any name on this list could also become a day-trade squeeze candidate following news, unusually strong demand or a sudden liquidity imbalance. Repeated trading of the same shares—often called float rotation—can accompany sharp intraday moves, but does not by itself establish short covering. Reported short interest is a twice-monthly snapshot, separate from daily short-sale volume.⁵

Share Supply Remains Central

ATM sales, offerings, employee awards, warrant exercises and reverse splits can materially change the setup. Inclusion does not certify that a company has no issuance risk or that its shorts are unhedged.

For NTHI, the $4.20 common warrants are out of the money at the displayed price. However, its September financing also included common shares and pre-funded warrants, which must be considered separately when assessing share supply.⁶

The watchlist identifies potential setups, not guaranteed outcomes. High short interest can reflect serious operating or financing problems, and fresh dilution or financial distress can outweigh a favorable market backdrop.
