DENVER, Colo. (247marketnews.com) — Callan JMB (NASDAQ:CJMB) is moving its pharmaceutical manufacturing ambitions closer to the construction phase, announcing plans to break ground before the end of October on a $16 million intravenous (IV) bag manufacturing and distribution facility at its Atlas Complex in Marion, Alabama. The project is expected to be fully funded through a third-party partnership described by the company as non-dilutive and non-interest-bearing, an arrangement intended to finance construction without adding debt or diluting shareholders.

The headline number is eye-catching: Callan JMB projects the facility could generate $450 million in annual revenue once fully operational, comprising $300 million from standard IV bags and $150 million from premixed drug IV bags.

The project builds on the company’s broader effort to establish domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing at the Atlas Complex, including its previously announced initiative with Alabama State University. Recent milestones include blueprint approval and a separate equipment procurement and distribution collaboration with TRUKING involving approximately $28 million in planned pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. Callan JMB has said equipment fabrication and facility construction are expected to proceed in parallel, with initial production targeted before the end of 2027, subject to installation, validation and other requirements.

IV bags are essential hospital supplies, and expanding U.S. manufacturing capacity could support supply-chain resilience and medical preparedness. For Callan JMB, the project offers a potential bridge from its preparedness and logistics activities into pharmaceutical production.

CEO Wayne Williams said the company is “moving quickly to break ground and begin construction on the facility this month,” describing the project as a way to strengthen domestic pharmaceutical production and improve national medical preparedness.
